Terminal Device Testing
EB Propsim radio channel emulators can be used by handset designers to verify their receiver design under fading conditions. The pre-configured standard-compliant channel models allow evaluation of how bit error ratio (BER) performance is affected by different radio channel scenarios, such as typical urban, rural area and hilly terrain. This, together with integrated interference generators, covers a significant portion of the Layer 1 3GPP conformance standard test cases.
Altering the various available parameters, ranging from the mobile speed, user equipment (UE) received signal power level and signal to noise ratios (SNR) to carrier to modulated interference ratios (C/I) and custom channel models, gives designers a realistic view of their design going far beyond just passing the conformance requirements.
