Elektrobit Releases OBSAI Compliant RP3-01 IP Technology
Elektrobit Group Plc's (HEX: EBG1V) advanced OBSAI RP3-01-standard based IP blocks enables cost savings, flexibility and design time reduction for Telecom OBSAI compliant base station designs.

Elektrobit OBSAI RP3-01 IP Blocks
This RP3-01 design is a complete building block to implement the connection between the Remote Radio Head (RF) and the Baseband (BB) parts of a cellular base station. This advanced Elektrobit technology includes both Baseband and RF OBSAI block versions. The interface solutions support RF chaining as well.
  • The utilization of this design makes the R&D phase of a base station shorter
  • The design guarantees interoperability between the BB and RF units
  • Elektrobit Group's expertise in base station technology can be used to support in system level integration challenges
  • Elektrobit also provides R&D service solutions to customer when there is additional development needed with respect to OBSAI interfaces.

    Elektrobit design services
Elektrobit works as a product development partner with companies that use wireless technologies and need high-tech products, solutions and outsourcing services. Elektrobit offers hardware and software licensable IPR:s and design services for all aspects of wireless base station solutions.

    About Elektrobit:
Elektrobit Group's business idea is to improve the competitiveness of the customer's product and production by assuming total or partial responsibility for product development, product design and the implementation of production and testing solutions.

    About OBSAI:
The Open Base Station Architecture Initiative (OBSAI) is an industry initiative comprised of leading base station vendors, module and component manufacturers. They have, jointly, created a complete set of open interface specifications related to key parts of the base station subsystem. By defining a basic modular architecture (not mandatory for use) and detailed specifications for the internal interfaces between modules, OBSAI aims to create an open market for cellular base stations.
